Tanya Gordon, President
Senior Corporate Paralegal | Community Advocate | Nonprofit Leader
Tanya is a seasoned Senior Corporate Paralegal with a strong specialization in corporate governance and a deep commitment to community advocacy, development, and nonprofit leadership. A proud alumna of the University of Connecticut Law, Tanya also holds a paralegal certification with a focus in Litigation.
Her extensive volunteer service includes her role as a consultant for the Central Allison Hill Community Center in Harrisburg, PA, where she played a key role in revitalizing the Board of Directors and securing more than $250,000 in funding for critical facility renovations. During her tenure, she also developed impactful community programs addressing issues such as food insecurity, teen pregnancy, illegal dumping, unstable housing, and limited access to mental health resources.
Tanya is the founder of the Empower Hour Girls Program, dedicated to mentoring and empowering young women, and made history as the first female president of the Bloomfield Raiders Youth Football Program.
She is also the owner of a family run soap business, Black Market Soapery.
Her professional excellence and heart for service exemplify her belief in building stronger communities through leadership, advocacy, and collaboration.

Nazy Fayaz Shoucair, Secretary
Senior Executive Assistant & Chief of Staff | Director of Administration| Community Advocate
Nazy is a dynamic Senior Executive Assistant and Chief of Staff with extensive expertise in business operations, project management, team leadership, and strategic support. She is an experienced administrative and operations professional with a background supporting executive leadership across various sectors, including luxury, government, technology, advertising, and construction. She is the founder of the woman-owned, family-run wellness brand Aaraam Life, which includes More Fire Fitness, where she develops programs that make health, fitness, and wellness fun and accessible for all ages. A long-time advocate for community well-being and sustainable practices, she brings this perspective to her role as a Parks & Recreation Committee board member in Bloomfield, CT. Nazy combines her expertise in operations, sales, marketing, and event management with a passion for wellness and civic engagement to deliver programs that empower families and communities.
A proud alumna of the University of Connecticut, Nazy earned her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media Communications.
Nazy’s blend of executive experience and passion for service reflects her dedication to building strong teams, effective systems, and thriving communities.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker | Mental Health Expert | Consultant/Higher Education Leader
Dr. Johnson, DSW, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker and experienced mental health professional with a strong background in community mental health, social work, and college transition support. She brings extensive expertise in the development and implementation of mental health programs designed to promote emotional wellness and resilience.
Currently serving as a faculty administrator at Eastern Connecticut State University, Dr. Johnson is dedicated to supporting students’ mental health and fostering environments where they can thrive academically and personally. Her career reflects a deep commitment to advancing access to quality mental health resources and empowering individuals through education and advocacy.
